NOTE: I would like to initiate a search for an IT Program / Project manager resource with specific SAP WM, eWM and TM experience to support the Supply Chain Program recently underway.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Job Summary

 

The IT Program Manager will be primarily responsible for the overall management of a project throughout its lifecycle, providing leadership to cross-functional teams responsible for delivering defined project outcomes to time, budget and quality criteria as defined by the agreed-to delivery approach for the Supply Chain Program.

 

 

Responsibilities

 
  • Ensure that the program is executed under the IT PMO’s strategic guidelines, standards, development methodology and governance practices
  • Monitor compliance with project management methodology best practices, tools and procedures including standards for documentation, data and training
  • Conduct project planning activities including development of a project plan with supporting work schedules, and establish/execute a process for monitoring and reporting project progress against the plan
  • Manage relationships among all project team stakeholders, communicating a clear vision of the projects objectives and expected outcomes
  • Define and coordinate a process for identifying and managing project gaps, issues, and risks, and advise on assignment of priority to items affecting critical project tasks promoting visibility to and resolution of project risks and issues at appropriate levels within the project team structure
  • Establish change request process and monitor for identified changes in work scope with consideration for analyzing impact, contingency and other mitigation actions
  • Managing internal and external resources and making sure the program has the necessary skill sets to complete each of the defined workstreams
  • Develop and execute a quality plan inclusive of formal quality gates and reviews aligned to achieving expected project outcomes and business value
  • Drives and supports resolution of program issues
  • Participates in PMO and Steering Committee meetings
  • Monitors Change Management Procedures within all teams
  • Organizing/participating in recurring meetings to clarify the Business Requirements across all workstreams
  • Assists in setting program strategic direction

 
JOB REQUIREMENTS
 

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Business (or Management), Computer Science, or related discipline, or equivalent work experience is required
  • MBA or other Advanced degree preferred

 

 

Knowledge, Skill and Experience
  • 10+ years of broad Project Management experience which must include the management of at least one SAP Warehouse Management, eWM and Transportation Management implementation through the full project life cycle
  • SAP eWM solution architecture experience strongly preferred
  • Experience managing complex implementations with multiple integrations, vendors and geographies
  • 3+ years in a management position (e.g. people manager)
  • Demonstrated mastery of Project Management skills using traditional Project Management frameworks such as Agile, Waterfall and hybrid methodologies
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Certified Scrum Professional (CSP) preferred
  • Program Management Professional (PgMP) certification preferred
  • Six Sigma Black Belt Certification preferred
  • Proficient with MS Office products
  • Advanced level of expertise using MS Project or similar project management software applications
  • Strong Analytical, troubleshooting and problem solving abilities
  • Demonstrated influential leadership skills with the ability to facilitate relationships at all levels of the organization
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and ability to deliver Sr. Management level presentations
  • Strong Conflict Resolution skills
  • Excellent relationship manager with strong negotiating skills
