Job Summary

Currently looking for an experienced Data Governance Manager to join the IT team. Reporting to the Director, IT Governance & PMO, this individual is responsible for all aspects of defining and operating the data governance framework and processes.  The Data Governance Manager will promote and advance thinking in the organization on all aspects of data governance including data quality, metadata management, master data management and information architecture.

 Responsibilities:
  • Sets/Maintains a strategic roadmap for the construction of a data governance framework.
  • Work with business stakeholders to establish data governance capabilities for customer, material, vendor and employee master data
  • Advances the organization' s thinking of data governance concepts, explaining the benefits of data governance policies and procedures within the context of the user' s needs
  • Help educate Data Stewards & Data Custodians on their role and their ownership of the data and maintaining standards of data quality
  • Provide process ownership including process improvements, designing new processes and developing performance measures
  • Implementation of processes and procedures to minimize the risk to data integrity as well as define remediation plans to mitigate known data risks
  • Understand sources of master data- business and IT knowledge of where master data is sourced and authored
  • Identification of both producers and consumers of master data as well as how the data will be used for reporting and analytics
  • Support the Data Governance Council by driving and delivering on data-related projects and initiatives

  • Detail oriented and highly organized
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience with Data Governance Program Management
  • 4 year Bachelor' s Degree
  • SAP is a plus
