Job Description
NOTE:
PM will have exposure to all kinds of different IT projects down the line and will work on projects involving remote teams and external consultants. Some travel is expected, perhaps several times per year to other sites in US. You will be needed to work from the respective offices, right now the policy is 3 days in the office and 2 days remote but later the number of days in the office will probably increase.
You will lead on several BI projects using typical backend data warehouse on SQL Server/Oracle with QlikSense/Power BI frontends.
The MIS department supports the business units by providing reliable and scalable systems and software applications for its offices in the US and around the world. An integral component of this effort is ensuring implementation of the right solutions. You will lead typically large IT projects sometimes covering multiple site locations, and work closely with Business Analysts, Systems Analysts, with Development and Infrastructure MIS teams to deliver the project objectives on budget and within agreed timelines. Effectively manage impact of change on the project you lead. You will analyze and evaluate existing or proposed systems and software applications, and design and document solutions in alignment with business requirements while respecting MIS policies and procedures, architectural principles and best practices.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS): Lead typically large IT projects, create & manage project plans, define project schedules, allocate resources and monitor progress. Manage all aspects of project lifecycle in compliance with MIS policies and procedures. Work closely with Business Analysts, Systems Analysts and Vendors, with Development and Infrastructure MIS teams to deliver the project objectives as specified, on budget and within agreed timelines. Effectively manage impact of change on the project you lead. Able to handle multiple projects at one time. Analyze and evaluate existing or proposed systems, software applications. Design and document solutions in alignment with functional requirements while respecting MIS policies and procedures, architectural principles and best practices. Troubleshoot technical issues in collaboration with systems administrators and developers and provide appropriate solutions. Structure and prioritize business requirements and communicate plans to MIS and business stakeholders for review and approval.
NON-PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS): Create and maintain content on SharePoint sites. Prepare training and system documentation, and perform user training.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: BS degree in Computer Science or in Information Systems, or equivalent experience along with the following minimum requirements:? 4+ years experience leading IT projects.? 10+ years experience analyzing, designing and documenting software solutions and systems.? Deep understanding of systems analysis, design principles and methods including data structures design and data management.? 10+ years experience working with visualization, design, presentation and documentation tools like PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Visio.? Able to understand complex IT concepts and convey those concepts in an easy to understand way to non technical business personnel.? Excellent verbal and written communications skills.? Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.? Strong problerm solving, analytical skills and attention to detail.? Strong teamwork, flexibility and adaptability.
ADDITIONAL DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience working with design tools like Enterprise Architect, Bizagi.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Office environment in a non-smoking building. Must be available and willing to work non business hours and weekends when project work dictates. Some travel may be required.
