Job Description


Responsibilities:
  • Determining warranty eligibility of products on an item-by-item basis
  • Identifying miscategorized products and following through with correction; categorizing products at any level of inventory
  • Identifying areas for process improvement and seeking ways to implement those improvements
  • Identifying areas of inaccuracy or mislabelling in data stores and attempting to correct or improve them.
  • Following complex business rules and procedures consistently and accurately
  • Developing new reports in Excel; writing reports at the right level of detail (detail, summary, management, exception) for the audience
  • Regular reporting (weekly, monthly or quarterly cycle)
  • Running SQL queries, including adapting the parameters of those queries
  • Implementing QA checks based on a specified test plan; free-form user acceptance testing
  • Ad-hoc analysis and reporting as needed
  • Financial analysis, including sales forecasting and ROI analysis
  • Other duties as requested

 

Requirements:
  • Intermediate level knowledge of Excel (pivot tables, vlookups, conditionals, etc)
  • Basic knowledge of SQL Server, including running existing queries and modifying their parameters
  • Practical knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and internet search techniques
  • Native-level fluency in English with a large passive vocabulary (for analysis of retail product based on name)
  • Detail-oriented
  • Quantitative background/experience preferred; high degree of numeracy (computation, estimation, interpretation)
  • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred, in related field such as math, science, business, engineering, or social science or equivalent work experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Problem-solving ability
  • Ability to work independently and in teams
