Job Description


One of the main applications this role will be supporting, Fiserv TradeFlow, sits on top of WebSphere MQ. It’s great that candidates have knowledge or experience with MQ however the focus should be on experience installing\configuring\patching mainly commercial\off the shelf business applications like Swift, tradeflow, Portia, Charles River, Bloomberg etc.

This role will be working with the vendor to deploy modules, patches, fixes, installs etc.

What support is this resource providing.

 

                                              -- This role will be supporting the applications by performing upgrades (mostly with vendor support), hotfix and patch installations, troubleshooting, reviewing logs etc. This role will serve as the IT liaison between the vendor and the businesses with regards to the aforementioned activities. 

 

The environment lists: Tradeflow, Fiserv, Swift, OpenStaars, Omego/Oasis, Protcol 

 

            -- There are several projects\enhancements\upgrades scheduled this year for Fiserv TradeFlow. 30-40% of this role will be focused on supporting the Tradeflow environment. The ideal candidate to support tradeflow (and the other business applications) will have excellent knowledge of Windows server environment (AD/DNS/IIS/smb etc.), general SQL knowledge (ability to run queries, run sql scripts), above average troubleshooting skills, experienced with IBM Websphere MQ (needs to know how to troubleshoot MQ messaging, channels). Has experience with automation, ActiveBatch\Automate\Autosys\Control-M (we use Automate) Good understanding of the financial workflows, i.e. Trades go to Tradeflow, out as MQ messages to Omgeo where they go through Oasis or CTM back to tradeflow through MQ messaging and then to our internal Swift environment and out to the counter party. 

 

This role will not be logging into any application and provide business level support i.e. Log into tradeflow and send a settlement instruction for troubleshooting.
