Lead Network Engineer
Parsippany, NJ
Currently seeking a Lead Network Engineer for a great opportunity in the Parsippany, NJ area. The ideal candidate will possess 8-10 years’ primary experience as a Network Engineer for Cisco Products.
NOTE: It is a hands on cloudbase AWS infrastructure position that requires, design, build, maintain and support F5 environment.
Responsibilities of the Lead Network Engineer
- Be a hands-on leader for a geographically diverse team of network engineers.
- Design, Build, Maintain and Support LAN/WAN Infrastructure for Corporate and Business environments for both on-premises and AWS hosted resources.
- Design, Build, Maintain and Support F5 environment.
- Lead and Support Security Auditing and Remediation Standards and Procedures, Risk Assessment and Vulnerability Management.
- Support Corporate and Business System O/S and Application environments
- Execute, Maintain and enhance Disaster Recovery procedures and strategies for Corporate and Business environments.
- Design and Maintain voice communications systems utilizing various Cisco Telephony products for VOIP, CM, CME, UM, UME, SRST.
- Perform problem analysis and resolution tasks as part of an on-call support rotation.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to provide services and support.
Requirements of the Lead Network Engineer
- Bsc. Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent computer-related education
- CCNP or CCIE certification preferred
- 8-10 years’ primary experience as a Network Engineer for Cisco Products
- 5 years’ primary experience as a Team Lead
- 5+ years’ experience with SD-WAN, VPN, MFA, Radius/ACS technologies
- 3+ years’ experience with F5 BIG-IP GTM, LTM and iRules
- 3+ years’ experience with patch management, vulnerability management, security scanning tools; Qualys and Alert Logic a plus
- 2+ years’ experience with AWS; VPC, ELB/ALB, Direct Connect, WAF, Route 53, etc…
- Highly proficient with Routing, Switching, Firewall, and Wi-Fi solutions from Cisco/Meraki, specifically Cisco ASA, Firepower, Catalyst and Nexus; Meraki Security Appliance, Access Point and Switch. EIGRP and BGP
- Highly proficient with F5 BIG-IP GTM, LTM and iRules preferred
- Thorough knowledge of all common Networking protocols, Network Management Software, Network/Systems Security preferred
- Strong with AWS services; VPC, ELB/ALB, Direct Connect, WAF, Route53, etc…
- Have experience with Linux, Windows, sendmail/SMTP, shell scripting preferred
- Familiar with ISP connections, SD-WAN and point-to-point leased data circuits preferred
- Knowledge of VMware ESXi virtualization technology preferred
- Strong Experience and understanding of change management frameworks such as ITIL preferred
- Demonstrated problem solving capabilities
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
Compensation for the Lead Network Engineer
- Salary: up to $138K + 10 % bonus
