QA Automation Engineer

- Design, maintain, and execute automated tests for use in both API and UI test cases by creating reusable code libraries to help build streamlined and efficient automated test processes.
- Maintain documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software.
- Analyze test results to ensure existing functionality and recommend corrective action.
- Submit and track any product issues found during testing to ensure that they are resolved.
- Facilitate and/or participate in test plan and test case reviews and execution.
- Work closely with the Development, Business Analysts, and Support Teams to understand the application’s features and architecture to develop test cases to ensure that the application’s UI / API / Data layers are thoroughly tested before releasing into production.
- Integrate automated tests into continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to ensure timely feedback.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
- 2 to 4 years of experience in software Quality Assurance and Automation.
- Automation Certification preferred such as Certified Tester Test Automation Engineer (CT-TAE)
- SmartBear TestComplete, ReadyAPI, and MABL experience preferred.
- Test automation background in UI driven frameworks via SmartBear TestComplete.
- Test automation background in APIs via SmartBear ReadyAPI.
- Proficiency in a mainstream programming language: Must have applicable skills in Java, Python, C++, C#, or other language.
- Must have technical experience screening, triaging, and categorizing defects.
- Knowledge of web accessibility best practices and optimization.
- Strong understanding of QA principles, inspection techniques, and testing procedures.
