Primary Purpose: A key member of the Retail Marketing team, the Marketing Manager (Contractor) will support marketing strategy in conjunction with the direction and needs of Marketing Managers and client teams in a timely and effective manner. This role will help reach overall revenue goals and company objectives by supporting Marketing Managers through various marketing activities including creation, planning, development, procurement and implementation of client marketing programs including but not limited to events, vendor sourcing, inventory management, marketing/production logistics, incentives/promotions, direct mail validations, training tools, and client presentations. Duties/Responsibilities: Support aspects of marketing campaigns for clients including planning, conception, communications, compliance reviews, copywriting, time/budget management, creative/brand/merchandising guidelines, research support, maintaining marketing calendars, project tracking, presentations, production logistics, distribution and execution. Effectively manage and build relationships with internal teams, external clients, agencies, manufacturers/vendors, production and designers to develop and execute successful marketing programs supporting clients retail sales and value-based goals. Assist with multi-channel marketing campaigns spanning across multiple industries and disciplines to deliver a cohesive and strong brand voice, image, message and offer for our client programs. Work effectively with Marketing Managers and clients on innovative marketing solutions and creative concepts with research, cost, execution and impact in mind. Manage relationships, processes and project tracking with approved vendor partners and consultants across the various marketing channels. Contribute concepts/ideas through design, production, print and distribution for promoting product offerings, support and tools for sales associates/managers as well as takeaways for consumers. Omni-Channel Marketing materials (i.e. brochures, hang tags, packages, channel signs, banners, stickers, video, stanchion signs, in-store displays, ads, tent cards, toppers) Work with marketing managers, internal teams and clients to define and propose client in-store and multi-channel marketing solutions Manage multiple timelines effectively for projects and launches Create and oversee merchandising instructions, forms, fulfillment, distribution processes Support client contests, kick-off events, tradeshows, kits and promotions Source, recommend, purchase and distribute effective premium items
Knowledge/Skill Requirements: Bachelors degree in marketing-related field with minimum 5 years of relevant work experience PC proficient including Microsoft Office: Word, Excel and Power Point Experience in B2C consumer marketing and innovative retail packaging concepts and display options Retail marketing or agency experience preferred Experience developing, managing, executing, and analyzing marketing campaigns. Must have the ability to multi-task on client projects/team requests and work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment Strong general communications skills including writing, editing, and proofreading required Strong project/time management and presentation skills
Qualifications: Experience managing multi-channel marketing solutions geared towards consumers in a retail setting (in stores, online, mobile, direct marketing) preferred. Demonstrated ability to think creatively outside the box Problem-solving and resolution skills Strong timeline management and attention to detail Highly organized, quick learner, proactive, persistent and with a positive attitude Knowledge of design, creative layout, effective visual presentation desired Event logistics coordination and planning experience desired Must be able to work with all levels of management Multi-channel retail marketing skills desired Work effectively in a team environment (internal & external)
