Position – Senior Full Stack Development and Technical Lead

Position Summary

Responsible for the development of the web application platform. This is a hands-on full stack web development lead position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development, implementation and maintenance of the web application platform and recommendations for improvements and enhancements
  • Work closely with multiple onshore and offshore application development vendors
  • Work with other management team members to determine how best to achieve business objectives via technology and innovation solutions.
  • Responsible for the cybersecurity protection of company data, asset and reputation

Experience Requirements:
  • 8-10 years of experience leading inhouse development teams and outsourced offshore development teams
  • 5+ years of full stack web development hands-on experience and ability to manage technical teams and drive delivery
  • Strong experience with SDLC and development best practices
  • Thorough knowledge of web-based development practices and mobile application development practices
  • Intense focus on quality and on-time delivery
  • Ability to work in a small business family-like environment and work with business peers to innovate and achieve business objectives
  • Ability to communicate technology issues with non-technical business executives and managers
  • Strong knowledge of application security best practices and implementation
  • Good project management skills
  • Prior experience working with insurance related products is a plus and advantage
  • Experience with Verisk ERC product is highly desirable
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills
