Senior Sourcing Manager
The role of the Senior Sourcing Manager is to manage the category, contracting and sourcing process for the Facilities and Indirect Supply Chain categories. This work includes managing spend and suppliers, conducting RFx and market research as well as negotiating with suppliers to get best value. The person in this role will have a strategic mindset, strong deal shaping expertise, business acumen and will be skilled at sourcing and managing suppliers to meet requirements.
Responsibilities:
o Provide category leadership and expertise cross several sub-category functions.
o Able to provide end to end category, sourcing, contract and supplier management capabilities.
o Manage stakeholders including the business, legal, security, etc… through the entire sourcing life cycle for products and services from supplier identification, selection, negotiations, contracting process, contract and supplier management to adherence to process, policies and procedures.
o Engage with business teams at early stage of sourcing life cycle and provide marketplace insights and proactively engage with the teams to help in the supplier discussions.
o Assist in preparation of business cases as it relates to selecting and managing suppliers.
o Participate in different governance review councils and provide sourcing point of view
o Serve as primary point of contact for suppliers in the Facilities category.
o Drive the RFX process including scheduling, communications and documentation and facilitating teams in selecting suppliers
o Provide leadership teams with data to help facilitate supplier knowledge and category management including influencing category strategies.
o Negotiate financials and commercial terms and conditions with suppliers and coordinate with internal stakeholders (e.g. legal, risk, procurement and finance teams).
o Benchmark price and performance of existing products/services with marketplace and provide recommendation on appropriate sourcing and/or supplier decisions.
o Establish and streamline processes and tools used to drive a robust sourcing process.
o Provide leadership teams with analytical reports on key sourcing and supplier engagements including leading regular executive supplier internal/external reviews.
Requirements:
The successful candidate for this position will have the following experiences and expertise:
o Demonstrated experience in category and sourcing management for full breadth of Facilities and Real Estate suppliers.
o Ability to develop strategy and drive category plans globally.
o Experience managing suppliers including managed services providers.
o Leadership experience and ability to present to senior leadership teams.
o Strong expertise in analyzing industry and category trends.
o Ability to drive RFX process and shows evidence of strong supplier management skills.
o Strong negotiation and contracting skills a must.
o Strong client service orientation and ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
o Bachelor’s degree in relevant field. Master’s degree will be a plus.
o 10+ years relevant work experience.
