Job Description

Staff Accountant  

Responsibilities:
  • Day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting, and recording accounts receivables’ data.
  • Strong accounting experience including AP, AR, maintaining GL and researching discrepancies. Strong experience with account reconciliations for large retail customers and vendors.
  • Process accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures.
  • Various inventory tasks, including monthly counting journals, monthly and daily inventory recording, and reconciling the quantity of items held in various locations and daily tracking of production levels among other things.
  • Identify obsolescence and prepare inventory borrowing base schedules.
  • Account reconciliation of physical inventories and cycle counts.
  • Determine costs of business activities such as raw material purchases, inventory, and labor.
  • Support sales team and assist in pricing models, profitability models and other customer pricing analysis projects as well as managing the customer credit approval process.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 5 years’ experience in diverse accounting recommended with strong experience in corporate collections including interaction with a large customer base.
  • Strong knowledge of accounts receivable collection process and assist in other areas of accounting and finance (AP, Inventory, customer pricing and other matters).
  • Experience in manufacturing.
  • Cost Accounting.
  • Sound knowledge of accounting and financial processes.
  • Strong general technology skills, including proficiency in Microsoft products.
