The Planning Analyst, Supply Chain Planning will be responsible for the demand plan creation of the global supply chain for all clients and product types. This position will also support planning replacement matrix optimization for greater than $400 Million (annual) of repaired phone inventory, several thousand mobile handsets and corresponding skus, across all of direct fulfill clients. The Planning Analyst is responsible for providing accessory material forecast requirements to the global procurement team based on the delivery plans from internal and external suppliers
The Planning Analyst will assist in the short and long-term strategic direction for aspects specific to supplier build plans, including plans to drive profitability through increased production of remanufactured equipment. The Planning Analyst will assist in promoting synergy among all business support groups of the global supply chain, and primarily does this by influencing the teams and peers in Procurement, Supplier Management as well as Operations, to ensure departmental results are delivered in accordance with the Supply Chain Planning strategic plan and Company Core Values.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assist in the forecast generation of all new model launches
• Devise plans and develop, maintain and improve upon best in class performance in forecasting, inventory levels, service levels, and E&O expense for handsets and accessories used on repaired devices
• Assist in the development, implementation, and management of the replacement matrix for an annual inventory spend in excess of over $400 million and several thousand SKU’s across multiple sites, domestic and international
• Lead and influence in a highly matrixed environment and have significant interaction with functional teams such as Procurement, Supplier Management, Client Services, Risk Management, Finance, and Operations
• Devise Supply Chain Planning strategy and collaborate with Procurement and Finance to develop plans, both long-term and short-term, and reporting, to optimize equipment costs while maintaining customer experience (like-for-like, fill rate, etc.)
• Build and maintain communication channels among all operational groups within the supply chain through information sharing, thought leadership, and tactical and strategic planning
• Deliver analysis and data on supply chain performance (for planning and procurement – inventory levels, equipment costs, etc.)
• Drive actions to increase profitability through managing all aspects of the phone lifecycle

QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• 1-3 years of relevant experience, preferably in Supply Chain management or Global Procurement
• BS Supply Chain Management or other technical/mathematical field or equivalent experience
• MBA with quantitative background or other Advanced Degree preferred but not required

Top skill set: Must have demand planning experience, MS Excel (expert level, functions, vlookups, if/then etc.), & SQL (general queries knowledge). 1-3 years exp.
Role is more aligned to planning and statistics than purchasing. We are not looking for a purchaser but that experience may be helpful. Using demand forecasting, this resource will determine what needs to be purchased by the organization to meet future customer demand. This detail is then sent to the procurement team that goes out and sources the supply.
