Technical Program Manager - Ecommerce

 A major e-commerce company, are looking for a Technical Program Manager to lead our Ecommerce team. We are one of the leading companies in the retail and gear ecommerce space, so the right candidate is someone who has strong experience with a complex ecommerce retailer.

Responsibilities
  • Leadership for all technical aspects of Ecommerce website with responsibility for creating and implementing a strategic technical vision for ecommerce success.
  • Manage from corporate headquarters a geographically dispersed ecommerce team of software engineers, web developers, business analysts, database administrators, QA specialists, network engineers and systems administrators with goal of creating top ecommerce site with excellent user experience for our customers.
  • Developing functional requirements in coordination with the business and marketing departments for all ecommerce development projects.
  • Take responsibility for planning, execution and success of complex technical projects and processes.
  • Manage all project tasks through software development project lifecycle including project scope, schedule, resources, quality, and cost.
  • Interface with all areas affected by the project, including senior managers, business users, vendors and implementations partners.
  • Review project deliverables for accuracy and apprises management of issues effecting project status and offers solution to solve the issues.
  • Evaluate effectiveness of implementation team members and managed service providers, providing candid feedback when adjustments are required.
  • Travel required 15 to 20% of time.

 

Required Skills/Experience
  • Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science or related field.
  • 10+ years of IT management experience managing software development teams.
  • 5+ years of experience specifically in ecommerce program management.
  • Excellent leadership and analytical skills. 
  • Strong understanding of Agile\Scrum development methodology.
  • Experience with all phases of the software development project lifecycle.
  • Knowledge of all current trends in Ecommerce technology.
  • Experience working with a major ecommerce platform (Magento, Oracle ATG, SAP Hybris, IBM WebSphere).
  • Demonstrated track record of successfully delivering solutions and managing multiple development projects simultaneously.
  • Experience with cross-functional team management including remote team members, managed service providers, and consultants.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, meeting facilitation, and problem solving skills.

 

Preferred Skills/Experience
  • Past experience as a software developer is strongly preferred
  • Job experience working with Internet Retailer Top 500 Ecommerce Retailer
  • Experience on data science or analytics projects
  • Experience with JIRA/Tempo
