Qualifications
Must have:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Math, Finance, Business, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Management Information Systems, Information Science or equivalent experience.
- Six or more years of relevant experience with a strong management background.
· Knowledge of key financial and operational metrics, and understanding of allocation methodologies.
· Demonstrated proficiency in business analysis core competencies (planning & monitoring, elicitation, requirements management & communication, enterprise analysis, requirements analysis, and solution assessment & validation).
· Experience with Microsoft Office Suite with an emphasis on Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
Ideally, you’ll also have:
- A Master's degree in Math, Finance, Business, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Management Information Systems, or Information Science.
- Experience in the technology and/or telecommunications industry.
- Certifications: Six Sigma, CCBA, CBAP, and/or PMP.
- Demonstrated experience in continuous improvement initiatives, root cause analysis, and project management.
- Expert knowledge of process and business systems improvements and implementation, data integration, metadata management, and user interface design.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability to focus on the details and to communicate effectively to both technical and non-technical teams
- Advanced programming, coding, and scripting skills. Experience with Excel VBA programming preferred.
- Expertise in the usage Essbase, Smart View, Hyperion Planning and Hyperion Strategic Finance.
- Expertise in the usage of OBIEE, Tableau, SQL, and/or similar tools.
- Technical Skills:
- In depth knowledge of Verizon financial systems and applications (i.e. CPM, Hyperion, etc.)
- Experience with projects that involved delivering process and business systems improvements, data integration, metadata management, and user interface design.
- Understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) best practices and methodologies, including Agile methodology
- Knowledge of OLAP (Essbase, Microsoft SSAS, Cognos, etc.) & relational database (Teradata, Oracle) applications and architecture
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Project, SharePoint and Visio.
- Communication Skills:
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent presentation, facilitation, and communication skills, both oral and written, are required
- Ability to work strategically with cross functional senior leadership teams to effectively identify, design and implement strategic initiatives
- Ability to communicate effectively to both technical and non-technical teams is required

- Proven management skills and proficiency in leading and motivating a team.
- Must display strong analytical and deductive reasoning skills with a strong attention to detail
- Must be creative and flexible in managing multiple projects and issues simultaneously, and must have the ability to accept and adapt to fast changing circumstances

- Ability to complete tasks independently and make decisions and recommendations that comply with management reporting guidelines to ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financial statements and reported results
